Fans were shocked Tuesday after popular talk show host Wendy Williams fell to the ground during a broadcast. It's since been ruled exhaustion, but that doesn't make the diagnosis any less dramatic.
The very popular television host began introducing her next guest before it became apparent that something wasn't right. She then became very wide-eyed and stumbled backward before hitting the stage.
One person apparently not sympathetic to Williams' plight was rapper 50 Cent.
"What is this it just looks like bad acting to me. LOL she said she over heated in her costume," the Queens rapper captioned a clip of the action on his Instagram Tuesday.
Williams, 53, was dressed as the Statue of Liberty when her speech started slowing down and she became visibly distressed. Like a champ, the veteran TV host kept speaking to the audience up until the minute she was overcome and fell to the ground.
After a commercial break, she told the audience: “That was not a stunt. I overheated in my costume. I passed out.”
"I'm a champ and I'm back," Williams said.
Williams later danced around with fans in Halloween costumes.
