The very long line of women accusing Harvey Weinstein of sexual assault just grew one longer after actress Paz de la Huerta recently spoke out against the former Hollywood heavyweight, claiming he raped her.
The accusation came during a phone interview CBS News conducted with the Boardwalk Empire star on Thursday.
De La Huerta claims Weinstein raped her on two separate occasions in 2010. She alleges the first assault occurred in October of that year after Weinstein offered to give her a ride home because they lived in the same neighborhood.
De La Huerta says Weinstein insisted they have drinks, with the two eventually ending up inside her apartment.
The 33-year-old actress alleges that Weinstein then took off her dress and forced himself on her.
"He pushed me on the bed. He unzipped his pants and it happened all very suddenly," de la Huerta told CBS News.
De La Huerta's accusation of assault joins that of over 50 other women. The office of Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus R. Vance Jr. says a senior sex crimes prosecutor has been assigned to investigate, reports CBS News.
"A senior sex crimes prosecutor is assigned to this investigation, and the Office has been working with our partners in the NYPD since the new allegations came to light," a statement read. "As this is an active investigation, we will not be commenting further."
