It looks like Yeezy season may soon be fast approaching.
Kanye West blessed the stage during Kid Cudi’s concert stop at Chicago’s Aragon Ballroom for his Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin' World Tour. For West, this is his first performance in over a year. He has not been on stage since November 2016 after he canceled the remaining dates for his Saint Pablo tour following his bizarre rant towards Beyoncé and Jay-Z. Shortly after the tirade, he was hospitalized for exhaustion at a Los Angeles hospital.
Fast forward to now, West and Cudi gifted hometown fans with a special performance of West’s "Father Stretch My Hands, Pt 1." The track from Kanye’s The Life of Pablo made the crowd in attendance go crazy. Throughout the year, we’ve heard rumblings that Kanye is gearing up for a new album. Back in May, Kayne was reportedly working on a new project in at a mountain retreat in Wyoming. Over the summer, he was spotted in the studio with the Migos.
The G.O.O.D Music boss has been getting his creative juices flowing as he’s working on both Teyana Taylor and Pusha T’s upcoming albums. However, the most ringing endorsement to the thought of a possible Kanye album came from RZA. In September, the Wu-Tang rapper stated that he hung out with West in the studio, saying he had “two ASR’s” set up, concluding that the West is “about to get busy.”
