As lean usage and pill popping have become prevalent trends in hip-hop these days, weed enthused Wiz Khalifa has taken to his social media with a message about the hard drug.
"I was doing a little bit of thinking because I like to think a lot," stated the rapper as he enjoyed a blunt on his patio. "And you know, when a lot of people follow one trend or find themselves doing the same thing that everybody else is doing, you don't really get somebody who speaks for the other side. So I'm just going to go head and speak for the other side. Lean is lame."
"[This] is not for the lean sippers, don't get in your feelings. This is for the people who don't f**k with that sh*t, feel empowered. Know, lean is definitely lame" he reassured.
Wiz Khalifa isn't the only rapper to speak up about the hardcore drug use that is happening within the culture. It's a reoccurring topic between industry heads and fans about how rappers have gone from being dealers to glorified users. Rap newbie, Russ, went on a Twitter spiel about how the usage of Xans being uncool. While Fredro Santana defended the PTSD that comes with living in the environments most rappers come from, the Chicagoan was recently hospitalized for kidney and liver failure.
Weed seems to be the healthier choice if the community continues to evade seeking therapy.
