Dipset finally hit the stage after long anticipation from fans and industry figures alike. The Diplomats have had a rocky history especially the episode between Jim Jones and Cam'ron this past summer. Nevertheless, the Harlem collective maintained a special place in hip-hop and in particular, New York City. They cultivated a sound that was unique to them and fans have been calling for it ever since.
When news broke that Dipset would be getting back together, many thought it was yet another stunt to build up buzz or a fun rumor to spread around. But after their interview with DC Young Fly on MTV's TRL, it was clear that they were back for real this time. The crew also announced that an EP is in the works along with a docu-style visual component as well.
Dipset, alongside Harlem's newest collective A$AP Mob, performed during Spotify's RapCaviar concert at the Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC.
