Fabolous and Jadakiss have finally dropped their highly anticipated project entitled Friday On Elm Street which features an all-star lineup of talent ranging from Future to Swizz Beatz to Styles P and Yo Gotti to name a few. The project was to be named Freddy Vs. Jason since the duo made intentions of their collaboration public, however, a series of setbacks and delays shelved the project. But at midnight, November 24, hip-hop fans were finally gifted the project with a new title for licensing reasons.
Fabolous was recently on Deus & Mero where he spoke about some of the setbacks of the project-making process. He said, "Truthfully, it was a little bit of politics, [...] Sometimes it was scheduling Sometimes it was me working on other things and getting that out there. It was a lot of different factors…Even the name, 'Freddy Vs. Jason', we tried that for awhile, and it wasn’t happening [with] licensing. You can’t use a lot of movie stuff anymore."
Fab also announced that he and Jada would be hitting the road soon for the project's tour but dates of the upcoming tour have yet to be disclosed. Friday On Elm Street can be streamed now via Spotify.
