Update: After making what appeared to be a lewd gesture towards a fan near the Cavs bench this past Friday during their match, Dwight Howard was fined $35,000 for his actions. According to Bleacher Report, this is the fifth fine Howard was issued this season.

Dwight Howard may once again find himself in hot water with the NBA after they review the lewd gesture he made during the Hornets vs. Cavs game in Cleveland on Friday night, November 24.

As he transitioned back to defense, after tying the game at 46 a piece with a slam dunk in the second quarter, Howard lifted his hand to his face and stuck his tongue out between his middle and index fingers. A video from an aerial view of the court showed a fan standing and pointing his way, although it wasn't determined whether or not he was responding to a heckler.

The sexually explicit gesture (which is commonly used to allude to the act of cunnilingus) wasn't the first of its nature that Howard has performed during a game this season.

The 32-year-old player was fined $25,000 only a few weeks back when during a contest against the Minnesota Timberwolves at Target Center, he turned to a fan and crossed his wrists over his groin area.

Thus far, there have been numerous instances of player-fan interactions that resulted in infractions over obscenities. The most substantial penalty was received by Phoenix Suns rookie Josh Jackson, who last month made a gun gesture with his hands that cost him $35,000.
