Lil Peep's death has been a pressing topic within the hip-hop community for the last few weeks and now new wrinkles have appeared in the story that will no doubt continue to make this a topic of discussion for the foreseeable future. TMZ is reporting that Peep's death is now the subject of a police investigation after authorities obtained some troubling text messages that were exchanged between Lil Peep and a woman named Mariah Bons. Police have been told that Bons went to see Peep on his tour bus shortly before he died.
One of her alleged messages reads, "GBC [Lil Peep] high af because of me and my friend lol." Another message stated, "He passed the f*** out my brother called and I tried to get him to say hi to my brother but he wouldn't wake up ..."
It was previously reported that Lil Peep may have ingested Xanax laced with the extremely powerful painkiller, Fentanyl.
