Atlanta's mayoral race may not have received a concession from either candidate running for the post, but that hasn't stopped Democratic front-runner Keisha Lance Bottoms and her followers from claiming victory. Among those celebrating the 47-year-old city council member's ascendance to the city's top office, during her victory speech on Tuesday night (December 5), were members of her family, political supporters, and Tyrese.

Tyrese, has of course, been all over social media over the past several months, but fans have come to expect that the viral posts involving the latest news of the Black Rose crooner will come from the confines of his home. Thus the sight of him standing directly behind Lance Bottom's shoulder came off as random to quite a few people, including 2 Chainz, who cracked up when he realized who he was looking at in a video he posted of him reacting to Lance Bottoms' speech.

Both 2 Chainz and Tyrese have openly endorsed and rallied support for the city's residents to get out the vote for Lance Bottoms over the past couple of days. Although it is being assumed by most that she won the election, the latest news reports are informing the public that her opponent, Mary Norwood is calling for a recount, as the narrow 714 votes Lance Bottoms leads by does not ensure that she'll be the certified winner. Still, 2 Chainz was back to preaching the optimism he's been emitting about the future of the city in his recent posts.

"Come on down to Atlanta. We've got something for you down here, come on. Land of opportunity, you dig what I'm saying?" he said, after getting a good laugh out of seeing Tyrese all up on his television screen.
