Young Thug went on his Instagram Live early Saturday while in the studio to let the musical world know he wants to collaborate with Florida rapper XXXTentacion.
Thugger opens up saying, "I want ya'll to tag XXXTentacion." He then went on to give his opinion on the Broward county rapper. "I like this young n***a. He's one of the only young n***as that I like. He's really dope. I want ya'll to tag him. I want him features on this." Then the Atlanta rapper previewed a very slow melodic beat that we can assume would be the song he'd put XXX on with himself.
The announcement may come as a surprise to some since Thug who asked to be called Sex in the past few months also said he would not be releasing music this year. At the beginning of 2018, Thug told Hypebeast that he would be honoring his deaf brother by not putting out any material this year. "I've got a deaf brother," Thugger said. "I've got a brother who can't hear or talk, so I want to act deaf for a year. So I ain't going to put out no music this year."
While much of the beginnings of XXXTentacion's career has been marked by controversy. From his shocking faux-suicide, his unconventional lock, and his many legal issues; Thug is only one of a few who has hailed XXX with making great music.
