XXXTentacion is in a giving mood. The breakout artist was fighting a legal battle, which he recently settled, against a woman who he hit in the head while joking around. An incriminating video shows X, whose real name is Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy, hitting a young woman on the side of the head after he dances behind her briefly. The video was originally published to Snapchat, but was ripped and later leaked online. The clip went viral, and the woman, who was 16 at the time, spoke out about the incident.
“For those who are questioning why I didn’t come forth earlier was because I was terrified for my life," she wrote in a since-deleted social media post. "Imagine someone doing that to you unprovoked? At 16? Let alone the people he associates himself w/? Truth of the matter is I would still be holding onto this secret if it wasn’t leaked.”
X sued the girl for defamation and fraud, but the woman dropped her accusations this week. She changed her story to say that it was all in good fun, and X dropped his defamation suit in return. Lifting that weight off his back must have had a good influence on him.
The "Moonlight" rapper took to social media to announce that he is starting a new foundation. "Starting a foundation with my mom called the helping hand foundation," wrote X on a video post. The specifics of the foundation have yet to be released.
