Previously, a bombing took place near the Baghdad Airport that killed Qassem Soleimani, a high-profile commander of Iran’s Quds Force. Following the bombing by the United States, Iran’s supreme leader made it clear that “Iran will take revenge for this heinous crime.” Now, a warrant for the arrest of Donald Trump has been issued by Iran concerning the drone strike that took out Soleimani.

According to reports, Trump is one of 36 people who had warrants issued for their arrest. Tehran attorney general Alqasi Mehr said that although 36 warrants were issued, Trump is at the top of the list. Mehr noted that they would be seeking prosecution of Trump after his presidential term ends.

After the bombing took place, the Trump administration claimed that Soleimani was a ruthless killer, and Trump said that past presidents should have taken the leader out, with the Pentagon saying the drone strike was a “decisive defensive” action. Stay tuned for more details.
