The City Girls released City on Lock this past June, the duo's first project since JT was released after serving a two-year sentence for credit card fraud.

Following the album's release, the City Girls released City Girls The Series, which is a five-part docuseries providing fans with a behind-the-scenes look at their life and recording process. The most recent episode follows JT as she records new music and adjusts to being back in the spotlight. During the episode, JT broke down how her approach to the music industry is similar to credit card fraud.

"It's all about a hustle with the music industry. Just like the stores, though. B****, you don't know if you're card gon' go through if you go in the b****," JT explained. "You don't know if you're card is gon' work when you walk inside of a store. I'm gonna test that b****, anyways. I'm gonna go in that b**** and I'mma put that information in, if it say approved [or] say declined. But if it decline, I'mma put that b**** in again. And I'm gonna run through all the names on my phone until one of them b**** hit. That's the same sh** with music, like, when you drop a song, that sh** might not hit. But you gotta keep goin' until one of them b**** hit."
