A Virginia family was shocked when a teen's estranged delivered his final $800 child support payment with 80,000 pennies. Video footage showed the father back a trailer near the front lawn of the residence and dump the pennies in front of the home before driving off.

The father's 18-year-old daughter, Avery Sanford, found the act upsetting even though she and her father don't speak.

"It's not just my mom he's trying to embarrass," Sanford said. "It's also me and my sister and it's upsetting that he didn't consider that before he did this."

Sanford's mother filed a police report as a result of the incident but no charges have been filed. The father claimed the act was due to years of built-up frustration and admitted his emotions got the best of him. While he added that he didn't want to create more distance between him and his daughter, Sanford said she isn't interested in building a relationship.

"It's really hurtful and damaging to your kids when you do things like that," Sanford explained. "It doesn't matter if they're young or an adult, the actions of your parents will always have some effect on you."

Sanford has since donated the $800 to Safe Harbor, a shelter for people who have endured domestic violence, sexual violence, or human trafficking.
