According to reports, R. Kelly was placed on suicide watch following the guilty verdict in his sex trafficking trial.

Kelly's attorney, Steve Greenberg, made the revelation to U.S. District Judge Harry Leinenweber during a preliminary hearing on Wednesday when he said, “after he was found guilty [Kelly] was placed under suicide watch,” but noted that it has since been lifted.

What's more, Greenberg revealed that Kelly is looking to reconstruct his legal team, telling Judge Leinenweber, “I think he’s talking about bringing in new lawyers in New York.” The disgraced singer is due back in court for sentencing on May 4, 2022.
