Unpaid debts and kidnapping all seem like crazy hip hop lyrics, but it seems this scenario is ringing true for rap veteran Nas, as he found himself in the middle of a crazy event.
On New Years Eve, Nas was reportedly scheduled to perform at a show in Angola -- that he missed. TMZ reports that this sparked outrage which resulted in the abduction of Patrick Allocco, of AllGood Entertainment, as well as his son.
Aggressors working for Henrique 'Riquhino' Miguel, a local 'concert impresario' kidnapped the two men at gunpoint. According to a rep for AllGood, Miguel paid 315K for Nas and the opening act Jemiah Jai for two shows and was angered at Nas' absence.
The U.S. Embassy confirmed that Miguel holds the promoter and his son in custody with hopes to resolve the money matters. Patrick gave this statement, "The hope is that Nas and Jemiah Jai will return all of the monies that were wired to them immediately so that our ransom may be paid and our safe return to the United States may be facilitated."
No word from Nas as to his involvement in the matter.
