It's hard to believe that it's true, but reviews of Wednesday night's Jay-Z performance at South by Southwest were far from stellar. Several reporters stated that Jay forgot the lyrics to both "Empire State of Mind" and "Jigga What."
The Huffington Post pointed out that Jay forgot the lyrics, while The Guardian reported that "The concert's first half gave the impression of a man performing for a corporate-sponsored promo event. This was not the rapper's finest 90 minutes."
However, the crowd from the show seemed so into it, judging by the online stream, and Jay doesn't seem like the type to get shook up over a few people's opinion.
