Comedian and actor Katt Williams was arrested in Los Angeles early Wednesday morning on a possible gun charge at a nightclub in Hollywood. According to TMZ, LAPD officials were notified that someone was in possession of a firearm at Supper Club, and as police officers arrived on the scene, a witness pointed to Katt as the culprit.

Reports say the officers searched Williams but did not find a gun on him. However, after finding a gun in his vehicle, the officers arrested Katt and two other members of his entourage. The trio were taken to a local precinct and questioned about the weapon.

A few hours after he was detained, Katt Williams was released. Reports say the gun was not registered and LAPD officers are looking to find out who owns it. Williams was not charged in the matter and says that it was a big misunderstanding.
