This is a strange occurrence indeed.  A 57-year-old man by the name of Lester Davis of Wentzville, Missouri got into an argument with a customer on Tuesday, December 18th, at the All Cuts Barber Shop over the tragic Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting.  Something that the man said to Davis caused a trigger to snap in his head and make him go into "self-defense mode" as he asked the man, "You want to murder me?"

He then left the barber shop and retrieved a pistol from his car before returning to the barber shop and letting off three rounds in the man's direction.  It's unclear if he did just it to scare the man or if he actually was trying to shoot him, but all of the bullets missed and no one was hurt.  He later turned himself in and has been charged with assault, armed criminal action and unlawful possession of a weapon.  Mr. Davis is being held on $400,000 bond.
