A former LAPD officer is on the run, after allegedly shooting at three police officers and killing one. The prime suspect in the crime is Christopher Jordan Dorner, an ex-LAPD officer, who was let go in 2009 for "making false statements." Since being fired, he's apparently been devising this plan to seek revenge.

A message he posted to Facebook reads, "Your lack of ethics and conspiring to wrong a just individual are over. Suppressing the truth will leave to deadly consequences for you and your family. There will be an element of surprise where you work, live, eat, and sleep...I never had the opportunity to have a family of my own, I'm terminating yours."

The attack happened at 1:30 a.m. on Thursday. The cops were apparently guarding the man mentioned in Dorner's letter. Two cops chased Dorner to an intersection and exchanged gunfire, but were ambushed by another vehicle, resulting in one death.

Dorner was already being investigated for a double murder before any of this happened. He is still on the loose, thought to be armed and dangerous.
