Psy is somewhere right now praying that "Gangnam Style" wasn't a one-hit wonder. The K-pop singer made an unwise promise to fans before "Gangnam Style" blew up, vowing to give one cent for every view of the video. Now, as it's the highest viewed video ever in YouTube, Psy is really regretting that promise.
"Before 'Gangnam Style' my videos never did well on YouTube," he told Fuse. "I wanted as many people as possible to hear my new song, so I thought I'd appeal to their charitable side and promise to donate one penny for every view. This was poorly thought out."
The "Gangnam Style" vide has 10,866 views on YouTube, meaning Psy owes over $14 million in donations. He's made a plan to pay $15,000 per month, but with that plan he'll be paying for about 80 years.
