Now that the two are reportedly aligned, some sports agents are scoffing at the partnership with memories of Master P and Ricky Williams. Others aren't laughing at all, and are actually calling the two out for potentially violating the NFL's Players Association rules.
The NFLPA contacted CAA, the sports agency aligned with Jay-Z's Roc Nation Sports, and according to the rules, sanctions might be in order. The rules read that agencies are subject to sanctions if they "(1) use, (2) associate with, (3) employ, or (4) enter into a business relationship with any non-NFLPA certified individual in the recruitment of prospective player-clients.
Honestly, the NFLPA probably won't take any actions considering how powerful Jay-Z and CAA are.
