NFL free agent Kerry Rhodes is being pushed into an awkward situation as his former assistant comes forward about their alleged relationship, which he says wasn't a secret. Pictures recently surfaced of the two, and Kerry commented on the photos, denying that he was gay.

Now, the assistant in the photos, Russell "Hollywood" Simpson, talked exclusively to Bossip about his relationship, how they met, and how he felt when Kerry denied being gay.

When asked how they met, Russell reveals that he helped his friend "get to Arizona (Cardinals) to get a job," and met Kerry. From there they exchanged information, and Kerry invited him to Arizona "to help manage his assistants and personal team."

They started dating two months after Russell moved to Arizona, and Russell claims "I was the first gay man Kerry was with publicly." Russell adds that they had a wonderful life together, where Kerry paid for everything, including lavish vacations, expensive clothes, and private jets.

When it came time for Kerry to respond to the photos, Russell says that Kerry texted him asking him to go along with the story, but Russell didn't agree.

"Yes he actually text me like "Hey baby, can you just not say anything about all this" but that's what I don't like. He's lying because he's trying to protect his free agency. He's not going to be one of those guys who come out in the league because he cares too much about that. But why is he lying?? LOOK AT THE PICS!! He loved me and now he's lying. That's why I put him out there because he came for me. I'm not here for fame. He wanted me to have a reality show because he said I was destined for it. His teammates said I had a great personality and encouraged me to be on TV. This was our life! This was real!"
