Although FOX issued a statement denying the rumor, insiders at "American Idol" say that neither Mariah Carey nor Nicki Minaj will be returning for another season. There's a small chance that Minaj will stay, but Jennifer Lopez is definitely replacing Mariah.
Apparently, Nicki Minaj doesn't sit well with the show's core audience -- Middle America.
