In the days since Lauryn Hill was sentenced to three months in jail for tax evasion, there's been an outpouring of support from the music community.

Lauryn owed around $1.3 million in back taxes, and despite paying about $970k just days before her final court hearing, it was just too late.

29 different people have written letters to the judge presiding over Lauryn's case, with Alicia Keys and Stevie Wonder being the most notable among them.

Lauryn wrote a letter back to her supporters, letting them know how much she appreciated their love.

"I want to extend a sincere thank you to the following people, who wrote letters to the judge on my behalf," wrote Lauryn, after which she listed all 29.

Hopefully, since Lauryn has paid a big chunk of the taxes, she won't have to do the whole three months.
