I, Michael Hughes, battle rap journalist for VladTV, was present at the May 11th VladTV Killaz Battle League event and was actually with QB just moments before a scuffle broke out between her and Ms. Fit. I actually bought QB a drink upstairs while we were briefly discussing the interviews we've done together in the past, as well as potential joint work for the future. After a few moments of friendly conversation, we decided to head downstairs to the main room where we parted ways. I then went to the entrance to let in a guest and QB headed towards the stage area. Just a few seconds after we separated, security came rushing past me towards the stage, and upon following them I saw the fight already in progress between QB and Ms. Fit.
I've since spoken to both QB and Ms. Fit and heard both sides of the story. According to QB, she and Ms. Fit had previously exchanged words on Twitter prior to the day of the battle. It all began with the two ladies barking at each other about a possible rematch before things got personal. If you check the tweets, Ms. Fit told QB:
"Stop it you're the quietest chick in the world outside of social networks so I suggest you keep it kool before dat cig spark."
QB then responded by tweeting:
"Cig spark? Stop showin off for these social networks before I spit on you next time I see you..."
Ms. Fit then said that she wouldn't be tweeting anymore and that she'll see if QB was serious about spitting on her when they were face-to-face.
According to QB, after she and I parted ways she walked into the main room towards the stage and saw Ms. Fit and her girlfriend. Ms. Fit's girl began approaching her and QB noticed that she had her fists clenched and felt as though she might try to swing on her, which is what ultimately happened. QB was still holding the glass in her hand from the drink I bought her and alleged that she retaliated to the punch by hitting Ms. Fit's girl with the glass, at which point they began exchanging punches back and forth.
People came to break up the brawl fairly quickly, as Mysonne, Swave Sevah, Cortez, and others were seen trying to separate the two women. QB claimed that that was when Ms. Fit came up behind her and began pulling her away from her girlfriend, ripping QB's shirt in the process. QB also stated that Ms. Fit was holding her and bit her thumb, causing a minor cut, as Ms. Fit was wearing a flashy grill to the event.
Ms. Fit, on the other hand, did acknowledge to me that the beef sparked from Twitter, as she felt QB's "I'll spit on you" comment was "blatant disrespect." However, Ms. Fit has denied QB's claims of getting jumped and instead claims that there were two other girls who got involved in the fight who "got punched as well." Ms. Fit stressed to me that QB "was not the only one" who got hit during the fight.
After the fight ended, QB claims that fellow battle rapper C3 met up with her to back her up in case any sort of further altercation were to occur; however, by the time C3 arrived on the scene, Ms. Fit had already left.
The fight between the two ladies has sparked loads of responses from various battle rappers and fans on Twitter. Ms. Fit and QB even continued to exchange a few words after everything was said and done, with Ms. Fit posting a picture of her and her girlfriend with the caption:
"We good! Lol @qb_blackdiamond got washed period! NYC PASS REVOKED!"
She also taunted QB to show pictures of her face after she claimed to have given QB a black eye. However, when QB did post a picture of her face, there were no marks at all, and I can personally say that I didn't see any marks on her face after the fight was over. QB told me that she actually stayed in Queens for the night after the event, for she wasn't going to let Ms. Fit run her out of NYC like that.
After the fight ended, the tension in the venue died down and the Killaz Battle card resumed as planned. Hopefully QB and Ms. Fit can come to a middle ground and squash the beef between them. Check out all of the tweets regarding the beef between QB and Ms. Fit above.
