Miguel was arrested for drunk driving in L.A. this morning, TMZ reports.

California Highway Patrol stopped the Grammy-winning singer's 2013 BMW X6 for speeding and overly tinted windows on an L.A. freeway around 2:15 a.m. During the stop, officers detected a strong odor of alcohol coming from the singer, and performed various field sobriety tests, which he promptly failed.

The 27-year-old was then administered a breathalyzer and blew a .10 and .11 -- the legal limit in California is .08.

Miguel was arrested for DUI and taken to a nearby station where he was booked, and released a few hours later on $5,000 bail.

He's scheduled to appear in court in September.
