Legendary Hip Hop producer J Dilla loved donuts. When asked why the late artist named his final album "Donuts", his mother explained days after his death that she had "just bought two dozen a week ago."
In his memory and honor, J Dilla's uncle is opening up a donut store called "Dilla's Delights." His uncle, Herman Hayes, customarily brought Jay donuts as a kid, since he worked as a baker. To further honor Dilla's memory, the only music available on the jukebox will be J Dilla songs and songs he sampled.
Even the wide assortment of 20 different kinds of donuts will feature Dilla-inspired names. Dilla's last album, the one widely considered to be his magnum opus, was recorded in 2006 while Dilla was dying in the hospital of lupus.
