Wendy Williams revisited a dark place in her life during her recent interview for Centric's documentary series "Being."

According to Madame Noire, the talk show host opened up about her past crack addiction and why she decided to turn her life around. Williams says her crack usage happened early in her career as a radio show host.

"I've stooped to smoking crack. I could literally smoke my crack right there in the studio," she said. "I had the money and the access and the time to do it. I absolutely loved it and there was never a time when I said 'I can't do this anymore.' I was able to pay my bills. I was able to live a nice life."

She also explains that interventions are never a good idea for an addict because it forces them away.

"I quit because it was time," she said. "It doesn't work until the person who's on the drug wants to quit. Interventions only drive them away from wanting to be around you."
