Wu-Tang announced that they would be selling only one copy of their secretly recorded album, "Once Upon a Time in Shaolin," and RZA revealed that a top bid of $5 million recently came through. Although the plan seemed risky, the handcrafted silver Yayha box made the project a high-end art piece in its own right.
"Offers came in at $2 million, somebody offered $5 million yesterday. So far, $5 million is the biggest number. I don't know how to measure it, but it gives us an idea that what we're doing is being understood by some. And there are some good peers of mine also, who are very high-ranking in the film business and the music business, sending me a lot of good will. It's been real positive."
Dates have yet to be announced for the tour, but RZA had previously told Forbes that the piece would be traveling with them to art houses and museums in each city.
