Peter Rosenberg of Hot 97 fell under heavy scrutiny last month after accusing Public Enemy's Chuck D of being an Internet troll and not contributing to Hip-Hop in recent years. Many voices within the culture including Jay Electronica, Dame Dash and Combat Jack have gone on record saying Rosenberg crossed the line with the Hip-Hop great, and now the morning show co-host is apologizing.

He began his segment, "The Realness" saying he went to see "Do The Right Thing" as a child and has respected Chuck D since.

"That wasn't the first time I heard Public Enemy, but that was the first time Chuck D's voice truly affected me. So to think that 25 years later I would have a voice in this culture that some people would actually listen to a little bit is truly a blessing. Something I'm very thankful for. To have used that voice in any way to show what was perceived as public disrespect to the great Chuck D is something that I am truly regretful for."

Think this is a sincere apology or an attempt to get a few people off his back? Sound off below.
