Trinidad James' time with Def Jam has come to an end.

According to MTV, the rapper who rose to fame for his breakout single "All Gold Everything," tweeted the news to his followers Friday night.

"I should tell yall. I got dropped by the Label. My Album is now free. If u hear ur beat or verse on it. I hope u want dap cuz i got no money"

The 26-year-old's debut album has been in the works for over a year.

James' deal with Def Jam was a unique one as he was given a $2 million deal with the record company off the success of his mixtape single, "All Gold Everything."
