The death of Ferguson, MO., native Michael Brown, an unarmed, 18-year-old, by local police has sparked outrage in the teens hometown that has since spilled over into rioting and martial law.

Various celebs have chimed in on the topic, to varying degrees of support and backlash. Rapper and actor Donald Glover, who goes by the stage name Chidlish Gambino, gave his two cents on Twitter today and the response was overwhelmingly negative.

"twitter activism is wack. marches don't work anymore. police should be forced to wear recording devices," Gambino tweeted late last night following a bizarre series of poetic tweets in which he surmised that he'd be treated differently if he were a white rapper.

The slander led Gambino on another rant which he concluded by tweeting, "i honestly don't give two f**ks if you hate me. none of this was ever about me. and i hope you understand that".

Were Childish Gambino's tweets out of place? Or was his point just misinterpreted? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section.
