The victim who was shot in the face during the infamous club shooting involving Diddy has spoken about about the incident on its 15th anniversary.

According to Complex, Natania Reuben surfaced on Instagram after UpNorthTrips, a popular hip-hop archive site posted a news headline about the shooting. For those who don't remember, Sean "Puffy" Combs was involved in a shooting with Matthew "Scar" Allen. Combs, who was dating Jennifer Lopez at the time was present with his newest protege, Shyne. After fleeing the scene, Lopez and Combs were arrested. Charges were dropped against Lopez, Diddy was acquitted of any wrongdoing and Shyne paid the price by doing hard time. The former Bad Boy rapper completed a 10 year bid on two counts of assault, reckless endangerment and gun possession.

After feeling like her story was ignored, Reuben (known as ms_ebonay on Instagram) expressed her feelings about the shooting 15 years later.

"I have suffered a great deal of physical and emotion behind this foolish display of ego and insecurity." she said. "I lay here in bed thanking God for sparing me in spite of tribulations."

Reuben continued to debate with other commenters about the lack of focus on her injures and more on the story of Lopez and Diddy. Today, Reuben has a better outlook on the incident that changed her life. She and two others were involved in a civil suit with Diddy that was settled in 2011. Reuben was given $1.8 million and the other two victims received $500,000 and $50,000. Reuben doesn't mention Diddy or anyone else involved the shooting in her comments, but did share her close relationship to the hip-hop culture long before the shooting.
