Ebro in the Morning took to the airwaves today to address the rumor started by MediaTakeOut [MTO] that Jay Z is in talks to buy Hot 97. While Ebro addressed the issue himself on his personal Twitter account, he also discussed it with his co-hosts, Peter Rosenberg and Laura Stylez on air, with there being a general understanding that this is no more than a rumor.
Peter Rosenberg and Ebro caught listeners up on why this is even a story by discussing Funkmaster Flex's recent rant against Hov, scolding the Brooklyn MC for sending him a text which included his name in all capital letters, a move Flex took as disrespectful. Rosenberg poked fun at the issue, telling the DJ not to play any Dipset in the studio, as Flex claims Jay Z doesn't allow Dipset to be played at the 40/40 Club. They then reveal that the source of the rumor, MTO, should let people know that it isn't true.
