Ghostface Killah had kind words to say about Drake and his lyrical skills during his interview with The Canadian Press earlier this week. The veteran rapper says the Toronto native has proven to be a lyrical force in the Hip Hop world in addition to creating platinum selling singles. Ghostface says he was impressed when the rapper sampled Wu Tang Clan's "It's Yourz" on his previous album, Nothing Was The Same.

"Drake is brilliant," he said. "I don't look at Drake like these other little rhyme guys nowadays, because I think he can really spit a rhyme. So I put him in a different category. A lot of people might try to play him out but I'm a lyricist, so once my antennas go up and I hear somebody who sounds really nice on the beat and got a lot of fans and stuff like that. I keep listening to him."

Drake recently released the chart-topping mixtape, If You're Reading This It's Too Late, which went gold days after its release. Ghostface says he applauds the rapper for his work ethic and doesn't understand the hate he receives.

"He's just one who caught my ear. He's really, really doing his thing. I can't (dump) on him. Nothing bad I can really say about him."

Ghostface is currently working on finding the next big artist in Canada  in a televised search titled, "Canada Takes the Mic." The winner will earn a coveted spot on the rapper's new label and $100,000.

"I'm just saying to all the Canadian people: y'all got talent," he said. "I know there's a bunch of Drakes and Melanie Fionas and Biebers — I know y'all got them, you know what I mean?"

The competition is set to take off in the Fall.
