While Dr. Dre is preparing for the release of the NWA biopic, Straight Outta Compton, it seems the legendary producer will have to face some litigation for the flick, as TheJasmineBrand is reporting that Dre is in the process of being sued for using a sample in the new film without the artist's permission.

Leroy "Prince Phillip" Mitchell is alleging Dre and fellow NWA member MC Ren used a 1970s sample from his song, "Star in the Ghetto," in the upcoming flick. He is reportedly seeking $6,000,000 from the billionaire beatsmith and businessman. Mitchell claims he reached out to Universal to notify them of the infringement but they chose to include it in the film despite the warning. He also claims that he's been "screwed out of royalties, fees, sales and has had his reputation damaged as a result of Dre's actions."
