Since the family of the late Marvin Gaye was awarded $7.3 million in the "Blurred Lines" case against Robin Thicke and Pharrell this week, another hit by Pharrell is under fire.

According to the Huffington Post, Nona Gaye, the late singer's daughter says the singer's chart topping single "Happy" has similarities to Gaye"s 1965 "Ain't That Peculiar," making it grounds for a lawsuit. His ex-wife Janis also agreed that both songs are similar.

"I heard the mash-up," she said. "But I didn't really need to hear them. I know 'Ain't That Peculiar' and I've heard 'Happy." The family hasn't filed any charges yet because "they aren't in that space," focusing on their legal win as of now.

"Ain't That Peculiar" was performed by the late singer and written by Smokey Robinson and former Miracles singers Bobby Rogers, Pete Moore and Marv Taplin. The single reached number #8 on the Billboard Pop Charts in 1965. Fans are split on the singles due to the tempo of the song.

Janis says that the family wants to move on from the lawsuit. "We're just in the moment today and we're satisfied," she said.
