On Tuesday, J. Cole told collaborative music project Saint Heron that he believes Kendrick's massive influence has the power to help foster peace within Los Angeles' gang-entrenched culture.

Although the "G.O.M.D." wordsmith has not listened to Lamar's 'To Pimp A Butterfly' in its entirety, he expresses his respect for the Compton lyricist's overall theme for unification in the Black community. The NC native insists, "I know there's a moment where he's calling for unity no matter the gang color."

Speaking further, Cole recalled having a conversation with Lamar about the city's gang violence problem, telling him, "You have the respect of that neighborhood and L.A. on another level. If anybody can come through and put an end to this sh*t, it gotta be you."

Leave your thoughts on if you believe Kendrick possesses the ability to fight the gang violence that plagues Los Angeles.
