The wife of former Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling is currently in court attempting to strip his mistress, V. Stiviano, of all the luxury gifts her husband of 60 years bought the young woman while they carried on their not-so-private affair. Stiviano may have dug her own grave actually, as her own recordings of she and Sterling discussing how to hide the gifts are now being used against her in court.

"You just can't give somebody a gift," he said in one recording. "Well, if they don't know about it.

"Do you think I can hide the house?" Stiviano asked.

The house in question, a Spanish-style duplex worth $1.8 million, is just one of the pricey gifts Sterling gave Stiviano. Sterling reportedly also gave Stiviano three luxury cars, including a Ferrari, millions in cash, jewelry and clothing that an accountant valued at roughly $3.6 million.

Wife Shelly Sterling claims that her husband's gifts were community property, owned jointly by The Sterlings, and therefore she is legally owed every penny he spent on Stiviano.

Stiviano did admit that Sterling bought her cars, gave her $100,000 to invest in stocks and helped her buy a house with at least $727,000. She denies knowing where the rest came from, however, saying it was pure coincidence that funds would leave his bank account, and the exact same amount would show up in hers later, telling Shelly Sterling's lawyer, "Life is Full of coincidences, sir."

Sterling's lawyer also pointed out that Stiviano allegedly had 18 bank accounts with millions stashed away, all while having no job or consistent income.
