BET closed out Women's History Month in a major way with their annual celebration of distinguished black women from the arts with "Black Girls Rock."

According to AP, the melee took place at New Jersey's Performing Arts Center on Saturday evening. Hosted by Tracee Ellis Ross and Regina King, the ladies helped present awards to Cicely Tyson, Jada Pinkett Smith, Erykah Badu and 'Selma' director Ava Duvernay. First Lady Michelle Obama presented honors to a group of teens, and sent rays of positivity into the crowd.

"No matter who you are, no matter where you come from, you are beautiful," she said."I am so proud of you. My husband, your president, is so proud of you," she added. "We have so much hope and dreams for you."

Will Smith also shared a few special words with his wife while presenting the 'Star Power' award to her. During his speech, the 'Focus' actor shut down divorce rumors while praising the actress.

"In that brief moment my heart jumped for a second and I started to imagine what my life would have been like without that woman," he said.

Other celebrities in attendance were Willow Smith, marketing maverick Karen Civil, Fantasia, Janelle Monae and Lil Mama. The audience was treated to special performances by Ciara, Faith Evans and Erykah Badu.
