Ice Cube paid a visit to Conan's late night show this week to talk about the success of Friday, it's 20th anniversary, and why "Bye Felicia" is a big part of pop culture.

With the re-release of the film happening for the stoner holiday on Monday, (4/20) Cube says he's expecting fans of all ages to come out to theaters, and recite their favorite lines during the movie. He also says the plan behind the movie was to make it for the 'cool kids.'

"It's one of those movies where we were like, 'The cool people are going to like this movie," he said.

He also shared how phrases like "Bye Felicia" found its way into popular culture. With news outlets, artists and more making the phrase into their own, the rapper says the phrase has a universal meaning of 'backing off.'

"'Bye Felicia' is the phrase to say to get anyone out of your face," he said. "All the lines of the movie are big phrases. This movie has gotten into people's hearts so that's why we're having this screening. We're having some fun on Monday."
