The Hip Hop world suffered a devastating loss earlier in January, as fellow A$AP mob member A$AP Yams suddenly passed away, in what was later ruled an accident drug overdose, which included opiates and benzodiazepine (a.k.a. syrup).
The 26 year-old rap mogul, who was very instrumental in the rise of the crew's careers, is now being immortalized by his partner-in-crime A$AP Rocky, on the artwork to his upcoming sophomore album 'A.L.L.A.," which also stands for 'At.Long.Last.A$AP.'
The album art shows the self proclaimed Pretty Flacko covering his face with his jeweled fingers, as it's decked out in shiny rings. Showing his appreciation for his fallen friend, the Harlem native infuses a blend of his face along with Yams', mainly highlighting the late mogul's signature mark on his face.
Rocky hasn't taken the loss so easily in the last couple of months, detailing Yams' long battles with drugs, as well as the night surrounding his mysterious death, and how it has affected him. He told New York Times, "He always had a struggle with drugs. That was his thing. "He went out of his way to hide it," he added. "I caught him a bunch of times, but he would still hide it. He was kind of private about it. He didn't want his mom to know, he didn't want me to know."
He continued about the night he and Yams' friend, Lou, discovered him in their Brooklyn apartment, which he shared with Lou. He states, "I just look at his face. I look at Lou. You could just tell. We knew," Rocky said. "I was scared. I was wilding on everybody, like, 'Who let him do drugs?,' even though you can't blame nobody."
