Dave (aka Trugoy) and Posdnuos of legendary alt-rap group De La Soul have announced that they will be launching a side project called First Serve. The duo plan on dropping an album in April, but have already released a mixtape entitled The Goon Time Mixtape.
Pos and Dave will assume the monikers Deen "D" Whitter and Jacob "Pop Life" Barrow for the project, and on their mixtape they rhyme over classic beats as well as tracks by newer artists such as Aloe Blacc.
First Serve's debut album isn't titled as of yet.
