Dame Dash opened up to VladTV about being an entrepreneur as a kid. The music mogul said that while he's not proud of dealing crack as a youngster, he said the big money set him up with the mentality to strive for more.
Moving on, Dame said that after seeing a kid get senselessly killed in the street, which was depicted in the Roc-A-Fella film "Paid in Full," he wanted out of the life and his eyes were opened after going to an industry party with his cousin. He added that he was motivated to really put his hustling skills to use after thinking that none of the people in the room with him were true hustlers.
The Roc-A-Fella co-founder ended the conversation by speaking about his crew, "The Best Out," back in the day. Dame said they were all about having fun and making money, which gave him a "mental independence and freedom" at a really young age.
