So So Def boss Jermaine Dupri sat down with VladTV to discuss how the music industry has changed from the early 90s to today.
Surprisingly, Dupri feels the industry hasn't changed much, or at least his approach to the industry hasn't. Ultimately he feels that record labels aren't doing the same amount of work that they used to for their artists, while he still pushes his up-and-coming talents the same way he did with Kriss Kross in 1992.
Dupri feels that executive that are on his level often reach a point where they want the same results while doing less work. He also feels that there is a disconnect between the people who run the music biz and those who make the actual music.
