Miley Cyrus is over twerking and has jumped to a another popular dance trend.

During an interview with Sunrise, an Australian news show, Cyrus, who seemed to be credited with creating twerking, was asked about any new dance trends. She agreed with the newscasters who believed twerking has sizzled out.

"I'm glad you know that, because some people are living in the past, she said.

The singer then shared her "new" favorite dance, the Nae Nae. After giving the anchors a step-by-step tutorial of the dance, she says her fans aren't embracing it as much as they did her twerking.

She also says her dancers, the L.A Bakers, taught it to her.

"They just started doing it and I was like what is that?" she said. "And then I just started doing it, which is kind of what happened with the twerking thing. I try to do it at my shows, and noone's really doing it back at me."

Atlanta group We Are Toonz are responsible for the huge trend when they released "Drop That Nae Nae" earlier this year.
