Mike Epps turned heads on Instagram after sharing a photoshopped image of a black man whipping white men as they picked cotton while Martin Luther King Jr. smiled down on them. The comedian deleted the photo, but not before it sparked a discussion online over whether the post was intended to be racist.

The "Next Friday" actor spoke with TMZ after deleting the photo, telling the website that his nephews sent him the photo and he thought it was funny. Mike said that while some people were supporting the image, he understood why others were angry and decided to pull it from his Instagram page.
