Jon Fitch explains the biggest differences between MMA and traditional boxing, troublesome salaries while starting in MMA and more during his exclusive interview with VladTV.

The 36-year-old says that one sport isn't better than the other since they require special skills. As far as boxing goes, Fitch says boxers have the advantage of quicker foot moves while fighters like him would immediately use their MMA moves like leg kicks. Fitch believes that the rules will always reign over style when it comes to the sports.

Since boxers are reported to earn a substantial amount of money than MMA fighter, Fitch says the payments depends on how often a fighter actually steps into the octagon. He even says his first sponsored MMA fight paid $3,000 and his regular first match paid a mere $500. He also says the average fighter starting out can earn from $30,000 to $50,000 a year.
