"Love & Hip Hop" star Chrissy Monroe opened up to VladTV about being homeless as a teenager after her stepmother threw her out of her home in Baltimore. She explained that her mother left her family to be with her brother's friend, and her father later remarried to a woman that Chrissy didn't get along with.
During the conversation the reality star points to The Wire as a view into what it was like living in Baltimore, and revealed that she knew many people associated with the show, including Idris Elba. Chrissy says that living as a homeless teen in such a difficult area taught her independence and how not to trust anyone besides herself.
